Who can’t use some extra help these days? While the term “life hacks” may be a modern day term the idea is not so new. As long as humans have been alive they’re been trying to find more efficient ways to get things done. One company thought it would be a great marketing idea to include “life hack” cards in their products. This company was Gallaher Cigarettes. Starting in 1902 this Irish cigarette maker included a two sided card with each pack of cigarettes they sold as a way to help their customers deal with those little difficulties of life. What might be surprising to people today is that these simple “hacks” are just as useful in 2018 as they were over 100 years ago.
