7 Creative Anti-Pervert Devices

The depravity of a few determined skeevy men is well known by the majority of women. Most men are just normal, decent folk — but a few are so actively predatory that they ruin things for everybody…including women’s lives.

Enter the anti pervert devices creative people have imagined to help keep nasty, criminally inclined men away. Consider having these on hand during your next late night walk, Hollywood casting session, or campaign strategy luncheon.

7. Hairy stockings.

This inspired invention was shared on Chinese social media a few years ago. While it may not work in nations where unshorn legs are not a deterrent (*cough* France *cough*), they might keep the American or Chinese casual cad away.

For women who loathe stockings, there are also hairy leggings. Pair with a stained long t-shirt for maximum effect.

6. A “stunning jacket.”

The Sunday Guardian, who also supplied to above image, reports that two young ladies at Delhi’s National Institute of Fashion Technology who have developed an anti-molestation jacket. It essentially works like a stun gun.

Nishant Priya and Shahzad Ahmad worked a hidden switch into the jacket pocket or sleeve, depending on the style, that the wearer can trigger if an assailant comes in contact with them. The jolt is enough to disorient and deter a would-be molester long enough for the victim to get away.

5. The two handed belt buckle.

More entrepreneurial young ladies, this time from Sweden, have invented rape deterrent clothing. You can actually purchase this belt buckle, which takes two hands to open, on Etsy right now.

Spokesperson Nadja Björk says the buckle is built like a puzzle. It cannot be opened with one hand, meaning any potential assailant needs to use both to try to undo it. As he will not be able to use his hands to choke or hold the wearer down, this gives her more opportunities to escape. A harder target is a less attractive target to perverts.

4. A condom that assaults the assailant back.

This device is for a woman entering an uncertain situation who wants to make sure that anybody trying anything with her will suffer — permanently. Dr. Sonette Ehlers of South Africa developed this contraption for women to insert into their own bodies before leaving the house.

If someone attacks a woman with a Rape-Axe condom inside her, he will be grasped by penetrating teeth that latch on to his skin, tearing it. He will be forced to hit up an emergency room to have it removed, lest he create further damage.

It is a prototype, and is not available for purchase at this time.

3. Shocking undergarments.

Indian students have also developed underwear that not only shocks the assailant like the jacket noted above, but it also texts the police and the girl’s parents. The wearer does not need to activate it herself.

Sensors detect pressure against the garment, triggering the warning system and the 3800kv shock. The students placed it in a bra because most occurrences of sexual molestation begin with the breasts.

2. Smart jewelry.

Whether worn as a necklace or a clip-on brooch, Athena emits a loud alarm and sends a text to loved ones with the wearer’s location once she presses it. It was a project on Indiegogo, and contributors raised 666 percent of the asked for start up costs.

They also ordered an additional 250 Athena units for women in need through Women Against Abuse.

And number 1, the personal flamethrower!

They are illegal in China, but that hasn’t stopped vendors from marketing this personal, purse-sized flamethrower as an anti-pervert device. It is marketed a non-lethal deterrent to would-be molesters and rapists. It certainly puts on an impressive display!

The problem is, even with a lock button, it’s apparently quite easy to activate this thing while rooting around in your purse. Rather than frying your perv, you could end up cooking your lip gloss. As visually appealing as this thing is, it’s probably safer to obtain a concealed carry license (with all the training required) than cart around an actual flamethrower.
