The 11 Best Moments Caught on Google Street View

Google Maps has become a vital part of daily human existence. We no longer have to pull to the side of the road and ask sketchy locals to help us find the nearest motel or bathroom, and we can visit our friends without those awkward, old fashioned directions: “Make a left at the big red building, then a right when you see a blue house” (and that house is CLEARLY lavender).

Google Street view is its own type of indispensable, especially when moving to an area you don’t know, or visiting a place that seems confusing from the aerial view. It has also become an inadvertent source of amusement, with a variety of WTF moments caught on camera.

Here are eleven delightful accidental Google Street View captures to remind you the world is a silly place.

11. The house that gives out raisins on Halloween night.

Why else would a house receive such a brutal TPing?? And now the whole world knows.

10. The Garbage Pail Kid.

We have many, many questions about this scenario.

9. For the gentlemen.

Most guys are probably searching all Spanish speaking nations for this glorious country that has bikini clad women just wandering about.

8. Waldo: FOUND.

Apparently the beloved children’s character just needed to upgrade his cellphone.

7. Tiny horse!

The rider is a tiny woman, but maybe a little too big for this darling wee pony.

6. “Butterfly in the skyyyyy…”

At first glance, this is just an old Street badly in need of paving. Then you realize that colorful pothole is really a monarch butterfly.

5. The Area 51 Escapee.

They apparently didn’t all die in the Roswell crash, and have a penchant for colorful beach gear.

4. What a boring parking — OMG A TIGER

How did THAT happen?? Is he tame? Can we pet it?

3. God’s own mystery.

That must be a pretty intense pothole to require two guys in scuba gear.

2. The walking piñata.

This delightful whatever-it-is almost makes me want to visit Pittsburgh.

And number 1, the protocol droids out for a stroll.

Maybe there was a Star Wars convention, but nevertheless, the shiny golden sight of a bunch of C3POs walking down a city street is about as fun as it gets when checking out neighborhoods!
